IT’S HARD TO GUESS PEOPLE’S WEIGHT. I MEAN, IT JUST IS. YOU KNOW, IT’S NOT SOMETHING THAT COMES NATURALLY TO PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY’RE WEARING BIG BAGGY CLOTHES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. SO THIS HAS KIND OF TAKEN THE GUESSWORK OUT OF EMS. AND AGAIN, JUST REALLY TRYING TO IMPROVE THAT THAT PATIENT CARE. THE SCALE WEIGHS THE PATIENT AND AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATES HOW MUCH MEDICATION PARAMEDICS SHOULD GIVE. OFFICIALS SAY THIS TECHNOLOGY COULD BE A GAME CHANGER BECAUSE OF WHERE EMS WORKERS DO THEIR JOBS.
