Harry Kane has got off to a flying start at Bayern Munich, but he hasn’t had quite the same success in the property market.
It’s been almost two months now since the England captain left Tottenham for the Bundesliga champions for £86.4million.
On the football pitch, Kane has settled in quickly, scoring eight goals and bagging four assists in nine appearances in all competitions.
That included one against former suitors Manchester United in the Champions League.
But despite his success on the footballing side, the 30-year-old is yet to find a place to live in Munich.
The striker’s wife was reported to have been in the city looking at properties even before Kane put pen to paper.
However, according to Bild, the Kane family are still searching for a place to call home despite viewing a luxury mansion in August.
The report states Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer looked at a property worth £30m in the Munich suburb of Grunwald.
He could have rented the mansion for around £870,000-a-year, as per the Daily Star.
Despite not picking a new home yet, thouogh, Kane is trying to immerse himself in German culture.
“Of course, I’m going to try and learn,” he said when asked about taking up German in August. “I want to try and embrace the culture and the country.”
When quizzed on what phrases he had picked up, he said: “Just one word – Servus (hello). I want to have at least one or two lessons every week. It will be tough, but it’s something I’m willing to try.”
